Terms of Business

Effective from  6th July 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Chlikk Co-Parenting, a trading style of ChlikkLimited. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Business, which outline your rights and responsibilities as a user.

2. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Chlikk Co-Parenting offers three subscription plans to meet your

co-parenting needs:

• Freemium: Free access to essential tools

• Basic: £6.99 per month or £69.99 per year

• Premium: £29.99 per month or £299.99 per year

All subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least

24 hours before renewal. We may adjust pricing with prior notice.

3. Features by Subscription Plan

Freemium:

• Timestamped basic messaging (no deletion)

• Basic shared calendar

• One emergency audio call every 24 hours

• Email support

• CoBreather™️ (coming soon)

Data processing for Freemium features is governed by our Privacy Policy, including limits on storage and retention.

Basic: All Freemium features, plus:

• Expense tracking

• Overnight stay logging

• Customised reporting

• Tracking of missed child arrangements

• 1GB photo and document uploads

• Audio and video calls with optional (coming soon) recording

• Canned responses and limited messaging (150 characters) option

• CoBreather™️ Plus (coming soon)

Data processing, including 1GB photo and document uploads, is detailed in our Privacy Policy under ‘Data collected by the App’.

Premium: All Basic features (except canned responses), plus:

• AI-assisted communication tools (CoGuard™️ and CoBreather™️ Pro) for enhanced, compliant messaging, including AI-powered interpretation of legal documents

• Unlimited photo and document storage

• Enhanced customised reporting, including downloadable financial insights and overnight stay reports

• Priority customer support

Unlimited photo and document storage and AI-assisted processing are subject to our Privacy Policy’s data retention and security measures.

4. Payment and Refund Policy

Payments are processed securely by our third-party provider.

All charges are non-refundable unless required by applicable consumer protection laws. Users are responsible for managing their billing settings. A cost-splitting option for monthly payments is coming soon.

If you withdraw consent for data processing under our Privacy Policy, and this impacts access to paid features, we will pause your subscription and assess a pro-rata refund or credit, subject to applicable consumer protection laws. Requests must be submitted to enquiries@chlikkcoparenting.co.uk within 14 days of withdrawal.

4A. Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time via your account settings within the Chlikk Co-Parenting app. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date. Cancellation will take immediate effect at the end of the current billing period, and access to paid features will continue until that period concludes.

We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription time unless required by consumer protection laws or unless subscription access is paused due to a confirmed issue with data processing as defined in our Privacy Policy.

If you cancel your subscription, you may continue using the Freemium features unless you choose to delete your account entirely.

4B. Account Deletion Policy

Account Deletion Requests and Shared Data Policy

You have the right to permanently delete your Chlikk Co-Parenting account and associated personal data directly within the app. This can be done by navigating to Settings > Manage Account Details > Delete Account. 

Upon initiating deletion through the app:

• Your identity and intent will be confirmed.• The deletion process will begin immediately and be fully completed within 30 calendar days.

Once confirmed, we will permanently delete:

• Your profile and account information (e.g., name, email, billing details)• Any documents, notes, or uploads you submitted that were not shared with your co-parent

Important:
Deleting your account is irreversible. You will lose access to all messages, documents, calendar entries, and other shared content. However, your co-parent will retain access to any parenting data you shared with them, for their personal records and continuity of care.

For any questions or if you encounter issues with in-app deletion, you can still contact us at enquiries@chlikkcoparenting.co.uk with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”

5. AI Features and Intellectual Property

Protection 

CoGuard™️ – Legal Message Intelligence

CoGuard™️ is an AI-powered feature that supports responsible communication by interpreting legal documents such as bail conditions, court orders or non-molestation orders. It flags potentially non-compliant messages and provides users with guidance to avoid breaches.

Protected Elements:

• Proprietary legal parsing algorithms and interpretation logic

• Underlying source code and system architecture

• User interface (UI) design and message flagging workflows

• Adaptive legal-response engine that assists users in aligning messages with legal standards

CoBreather™️ – AI Messaging Pause

CoBreather™️ helps reduce conflict and emotional escalation by detecting emotionally charged or excessive messages and applying a pause or cooldown period before they are sent.

Protected Elements:

• AI-powered pause logic and emotional scoring framework

• Message cooldown protocols and behavioural safety triggers

• UX design supporting emotional regulation and user reflection

CoBreather helps co-parents reduce conflict and communicate mindfully, with functionality tailored to your subscription plan:

CoBreather™️ (Freemium, coming soon)

• Simple Conflict-Check Reminder: Monitors message volume, displaying a “Take a Breather” reminder if more than five messages are sent within one hour, encouraging reflection to de-escalate communication.

CoBreather™️ Plus (Basic, coming soon)

• AI-Powered Conflict Detection: Analyses message intensity, displaying a non-blocking reminder (“This message appears emotionally charged. Take a breather and think before responding”) if a message seems intense or high-conflict, reducing reactive replies.

CoBreather™️ Pro (Premium) (Full feature coming soon)

• Advanced AI for Emotional Context and Wellbeing: Works with CoGuard™️ to manage legal compliance and emotional intensity. Features include:

• Emotional context analysis, identifying language likely to escalate tension (e.g., blame, sarcasm, passive aggression)

• Smart message interception, pausing and flagging

outgoing messages with high-conflict potential, prompting users to revise before sending

• Purpose: Supports emotional wellbeing, reduces message regret, and promotes healthier co-parenting dialogue

CoGuard™️ and CoBreather™️ are proprietary technologies developed exclusively by Chlikk Limited, protected under UK copyright law and international treaties, including the Berne Convention and WIPO agreements. Unauthorised reproduction, imitation, or reverse engineering is prohibited, and we reserve the right to pursue legal enforcement in all applicable

jurisdictions.

6. Disclaimer: AI Guidance and Legal Responsibility

The CoGuard™️ and CoBreather™️ features are designed to assist users in communicating more safely and responsibly. However, AI systems are not infallible and may produce inaccurate or incomplete interpretations. If you are subject to a court order, bail condition, or any form of legal restriction, you must consult a qualified solicitor. These AI tools are not a substitute for legal advice or legal representation. Users remain solely responsible for:

• Verifying the appropriateness and legality of their messages

• Understanding and complying with any legal obligations

• The consequences of sending messages via the app

If an AI misinterpretation occurs, please contact our support team at enquiries@chlikkcoparenting.co.uk for assistance, though we cannot guarantee resolution of legal consequences. 

Chlikk Co-Parenting is a communication support platform—not a legal advisor, law firm, or dispute resolution service. All features are provided “as is.” While we strive for consistent performance and uptime, uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.

Confidentiality and Privacy

While the AI works to monitor and protect users from harmful behaviour, we remain committed to safeguarding users’ privacy. The app ensures that AI-driven monitoring is discreet and only focused on promoting safety and compliance. Any flagged communication or activity is handled with strict confidentiality and transparency, with a focus on privacy rights.

Ongoing Monitoring and Updates

The AI system is continuously updated to reflect the latest research and best practices for ensuring the safety of children and parents. This includes adapting to new forms of manipulation, controlling behaviour, and understanding emerging risks associated with online communication. We ensure that our AI solutions are regularly tested to ensure their effectiveness and fairness.

User Education and Awareness

In addition to AI monitoring, the app provides clear guidelines and education to parents and caregivers on how to communicate effectively and appropriately within the platform. Users are made aware of the behavioural safeguards in place and encouraged to report any concerns or misuse of the app.

By incorporating AI-driven safeguards, our app aims to foster a responsible, supportive, and legally compliant space that prioritises the well-being of all users, particularly children, and prevents harmful behaviour or manipulation in any form.

7. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

• Provide accurate, up-to-date account information• Communicate respectfully, avoiding harassment, abuse, or

illegal activity

• Maintain confidentiality of all information exchanged via the

app

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Breaching these Terms of Business

• Using the app to harm others

• Engaging in illegal or abusive communication

Appeals can be submitted via email to

enquiries@chlikkcoparenting.co.uk 

addressed to the Data Protection Officer and will be reviewed within

14 days. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

9. Limitation of Liability

Chlikk Co-Parenting is a communication support tool, not a

legal advisor or dispute resolution service. The platform is

provided “as is.” We strive for continuous uptime but cannot

guarantee uninterrupted service.
